About Alan W. Seaman
Alan has been inspired by music since a young age, beginning piano lessons at 7 years old. At 12 years old, he found out he could play by ear. He was a music major in college for one year until his professor told him that his original composition was unacceptable because it did not follow the principles of “music theory”.
500 compositions later, and now retired, he has been able to create and polish his favorites for this website, including a Symphony performed by the Prague Filmharmonic Orchestra, two songs (with lyrics), and 25 instrumentals.
Musical ideas come to him anywhere and at any time – including in the middle of the night. Wherever he is, he hums them into his phone recorder and completes it as soon as he gets back to his piano. He describes his composition process as “flowing spontaneously with each next note literally falling into place effortlessly by just sensing what will come next.”
Alan now devotes himself to his music fully, doing what he loves: Composing, or as some might say, “channeling” the music.
